People fail to reach their 'diet goals' for a number of reasons: there is the lack of willpower, lack of preparation, having unrealistic expectations, not eating enough calories, or the plan is so ridiculous it makes you sick and too weak to function. I once heard someone define dieting as ''a war with food.'' They went on to explain that this was a war you couldn’t win! As far as nutrition and ''dieting'' goes, there probably isn’t a more valid statement! At some point, you end up giving in and consuming whatever your ''diet'' said you couldn’t have, and you sabotage your supposed success. As I mentioned, dieting is a war we cannot win. So, what should we do? We should try a more balanced, moderate approach- completely transforming our mindset when it comes to food. We should be enjoying food, eating frequently and efficiently, instead of dwelling on what we can and can’t have...
